Description

Positions available Nationwide

APEM Limited is Europe’s largest specialist aquatic science consultancy, offering our clients an integrated approach to every aspect of the scientific study, investigation and management of both freshwater and marine habitats.  With over 25 years’ experience we operate UK wide as well as internationally, and our scientists are recognised experts in their fields.  As a company we pride ourselves on our commitment to scientific and client service excellence.  This is an excellent opportunity for a high-calibre, motivated and commercially-minded scientist to join our growing team.

Working as part of APEM’s rapidly developing hydroecology work stream you will have experience in hydroecology and / or water resource management and provide specialist technical input.  We specialise in assessing the impacts of changes in flow regime (including artificial impoundments, abstractions and discharges) on ecology and hydromorphology.  Projects often involve contributing to environmental assessments and may include field surveys, data analysis, modelling and reporting, as well as project management of sub-contractors and client liaison.

You will be qualified to BSc level or ideally higher for Senior positions, and have evidence of relevant aquatic experience.  You will be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary project team.  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are therefore essential, as well as an attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines in a commercial environment.

Interested applicants should visit our website www.apemltd.co.uk/vacancies for more specific information on this role as well as details of how to apply.
