The position
Within Ecofys, the unit “Built Environment Strategies” develops strategic advice in the area of energy
efficiency and renewable energy in the built environment. We help our clients in shaping suitable policy
measures, we analyze markets for products and systems and develop, together with our clients, tailor
made strategies to adapt to or lead within a rapidly changing sector. Our clients are national
governments, the EU, associations, NGOs, utilities and manufacturers.
As Senior Consultant Built Environment Strategies at Ecofys Utrecht, you will be responsible for the
acquisition and management of national and international projects. Using your knowledge of energy
efficiency and renewable energy in buildings, you find new clients for our services and merge technical,
financial, legal and political aspects of the building sector into strategic advice for our customers. Being
part of an international unit, you will be supported by the teams’ know-how, experience, tools and
databases.
Your profile
If you are enthusiastic about the job described and you meet the following criteria, please let us know!
• University degree and more than 5 years of working experience in the field of energy efficiency
and renewable energy in the built environment
• Substantial experience in working for or with corporate clients (e.g. manufacturers)
• Up to date insight in national/European policy and market developments regarding energy
efficiency and renewable energy in the built environment
• Excellent team player with the ability to coach
• Outstanding communication and project management skills
• Very good oral and written command of English and Dutch
