Job Description:

The candidate will interact with an experienced multi-disciplinary team and be responsible for managing projects related to biodiversity and ecosystem services, impacts of various sectors on biodiversity, natural resource management and sustainable development.

The projects are of diverse nature and include scientific literature reviews, developments of innovative and indicator methodologies, evaluations of public policies and environmental strategies related to biodiversity.

Skills required:

- Graduate from a well-known institution with a Master or a Doctorate degree in Ecology with a research focus on biodiversity.

 - Minimum professional experience of 3 years in conducting research or policy assessment in the field of biodiversity and/or ecosystem services

- Excellent working knowledge of English (oral/written) (writing samples can be submitted with the application)

- Flexible, autonomous, open-minded, proactive, and comfortable working in an international and multicultural environment.

 - Knowledge of another European language would be an advantage.

 - Demonstrated expertise in methodologies and indicators for evaluating the loss of biodiversity, impacts on biodiversity or dependencies/vulnerabilities of biodiversity would be an advantage.

- Knowledge of statistical software and/or GIS is desirable.
