EnviroCentre are currently looking for an experienced water engineer/hydrologist to work within a well established and friendly water team based in Glasgow.

The role will have responsibility for the delivery of technical hydrological studies and hydraulic modelling including fluvial flood risk, coastal dynamics and dispersion, requiring experience in:

  • Flood risk assessment and modelling
  • Developing and running 1D & 2D hydraulic models
  • Hydrological and hydrogeological assessments
  • Project management
  • Client liaison and liaison with statutory authorities/regulators
  • Report writing

You will have 4-7 years work experience and be educated to BEng/MEng in civil/water engineering or BSc/MSc in a related discipline.  A background in civil / geotechnical engineering or geomorphology and experience of Controlled Activities Regulations and SuDS would be beneficial but not essential.  Although based within the water team, there would opportunities to work closely with other environmental disciplines such as ecology and environmental assessment.
