Description

We are seeking a Senior Community Project Officer to join our award winning London team.

Groundwork London is a leading social and environmental regeneration charity. Through our Communities Programme we deliver over 100 projects each year which empower, enable and enhance communities; improving social cohesion, engaging people in local decision making, and facilitating social action to improve people’s lives and engender civic pride.

The Senior Community Project Officer (Physical Activity and Well Being) postholder will manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of the holistic well-being and sports programme Tottenham Silver Sports (TSS) programme. Working with Homes for Haringey, the sheltered housing provider in LB Haringey, the postholder will establish and launch a series of Well Being and Physical Activity hubs across the Borough to act as focal points for activities which prepare and support participants for a healthy lifestyle in older age.

As a creative project leader, you will bring the technical skills and experience of managing and evaluating large projects, specifically in community based sports. You’ll have experience in engaging with diverse communities, including over 55’s and your excellent communication skills will build strong relationships with clients, partners and the Groundwork London team. You will be a confident project lead with proven ability to coordinate, plan and deliver physical activity, well-being and community projects on time and to budget.

If you are dynamic and influential project manager who wants to make a genuine difference working with communities across London - we would love to hear from you.
