My client is a international market leader in the manufacturing of wind turbines they have an exceptional track record in the European industry and are making a huge impact in the Asia pacific region and North American market. Due to increased demand across Europe, Asia and South America my client is in the process of developing projects across 5 continents and expanding their international commercial wind team. They have developed a technically solid and proven product that is increasing in demand internationally. My client has a wealth of experience in the international market and a strong passion for the renewable industry.

 

Position Overview:

My client requires a Commercial Director to lead an expanding team with a strong technical background in the wind industry. They require as Director level candidate to manage the sales team in Iberia with the plan to expand that team rapidly to cover France and Southern Europe. You will report directly to the European Director and senior level executives within the company. This position requires a person who has a strong desire to progress rapidly in the international wind market.

 

Responsibilities

  • ·         This position will involve leading a team of approximately 10 sales engineers across Iberia in order to attract new business for the Wind Turbine manufacture
  • ·         It is expected that as an important part of the team you will expand your reach to cover France and the Southern Europe
  • ·         Responsible for the business unit, business plans and profit and loss for the region
  • ·         Direct sales into the energy market
  • ·         You will be required to developed relationships with new clients, negotiate and carry through the business process including pricing and terms and conditions and large scale contract negotiations
  • ·         You will utilise your strong sales team and management skills to achieve top level results within this growing company
  • ·         Train the sale team on the product in order for them to best promote the wind turbines
  • ·         Close deals with clients within the framework of the companies requirements while ensuring the happiness of the client
  • ·         Work with company directors in order to best promote the product for the company

 

Education

BSs or MSc in engineering

 

Core Requirements:-

  • ·         At least 10-15 years post-degree experience in the wind industry or a technically related industry
  • ·         You will have 5-10 years sales experience, with a proven track record in the energy, renewable energy, oil & gas
  • ·         Strong desire to progress rapidly in the international wind market
  • ·         You will have a technical knowledge of the wind industry
  • ·         Experience in developing and maintaining customer relationships
  • ·         Advanced spoken and written Spanish a must
  • ·         Able and willing to live and work in Spain
  • ·         2-6 years experience in managing and growing team
  • ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization and work closely with VP level managers in a large international company
