My client is of the largest energy suppliers globally and are very active in the climate change and emission reduction scene where they are again recognised as a global key player. The are currently looking for senior CDM officer to work out of their offices in Bangkok.
Position Overview:
My client is currently looking for a senior CDM officer who has extensive commercial experience. You will be leading the CDM efforts and be actively involved in the origination of new projects whilst also having the commercial knowledge and skills in valuation and negotiations. The position will be covering all aspects of the CDM cycle from project origination to implementation to CER issuance.
Responsibilities
• Lead the CDM development process and coordinate all efforts to this effect
• Be responsible for contracting external CDM advisors for projects in an efficient and cost effective manner to the company
• Establish and maintain relationships with key clients and figures in the market such as with DOEs, CDM developers and consultants etc
• Capitalize on my client’s existing expertise and expand on this to develop the CERs activity
• Conduct continuous due diligence on projects to ensure that they are completed to the highest standards
• Report to the Head of CDM activities GDF SUEZ Energy Middle East-Asia & Africa (MEAA)
Core Requirements:
• BSc or MSc in Economics, Finance or Engineering
• Have 5-10 years business experience
• Have at least 2-3 years experience in the CDM industry
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must have experience in negotiation and performing valuations
• Fluent in English
General Requirements:
• Be willing to work out Bangkok
• Knowledge of the Kyoto Protocol
• Asian language is preferable
• Entrepreneurial
