We are seeking a hard-working and creative individual who is committed to delivering a high-quality catering experience to work at our stunning Thurrock Thameside Nature Park. You will be responsible for providing a good quality menu and supervision of our catering staff….all in a busy and thriving café with the help of our enthusiastic team!

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our stunning Thurrock Thameside Nature Park to become part of our enthusiastic, hard working team to oversee the catering offer that is provided to our visitors. Essex Wildlife Trust is the county’s leading conservation charity. It manages and protects over 8,400 acres of land and has 11 visitor centres spanning across Essex. We are a committed and motivated Top 100 UK Not for Profit Organisation which have been awarded a Best Companies 'One to Watch' status who have a passion for what we do.

This post is based at our Thurrock Thameside Nature Park which is situated on the Thames Estuary. With beautiful views overlooking the Estuary and full length glass windows in the Centre to admire these, this opportunity is not one to miss! The successful applicant will work 37.5 hours per week across a Monday- Sunday on a rota basis.  

Some responsibilities include:

  • Delivering a high-quality coffee shop style menu of hot and cold refreshments.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of food hygiene and safety are maintained at all times.
  • Supervising staff and volunteers to ensure the smooth running of the catering offer.
