Are you an enthusiastic and engaging individual with a passion for great customer care, catering and wildlife? If the answer is yes then this could be the role for you.

Essex Wildlife Trust is the county’s leading conservation charity. It manages and protects over 8,400 acres of land and has 11 visitor centres. An exciting opportunity has arisen at one of our key sites to work in our cafe, overseeing the catering offer that is provided to our visitors.

The vacancy is within our Thurrock Thameside Nature Park site team and is a Senior Catering Post. The successful applicant will work 37.5 hours per week across a Monday- Sunday on a rota basis.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering a high-quality coffee shop style menu of hot and cold refreshments.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of food hygiene and safety are maintained at all times.
  • Supervising staff and volunteers to ensure the smooth running of the catering offer
