Description

Pearl River Delta (PRD) has been the economic engine of Guangdong (and China) for the last three decades and labelled as “factory of the world”. It is urgent for PRD and Guangdong to search for a new developmental model which will not undermine the environment further and truly move towards to sustainable development. Hong Kong has no excuse in this course and process as the whole PRD region shares the same source of air, water and food growing system.

Greenpeace envisions that both PRD and HK can take pro-active measures in tackling the problems and hazards caused by industrialization and “resource intensive” type of development, which in turn will bring insights and experiences to the greening process of Guangdong region.

The Senior Campaigner will give high-level, specialized policy and strategic advice to Greenpeace’s campaign. He/she will work closely with the Campaign Manager to develop and implement effective campaign strategies and projects for leading PRD’s campaign.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Social Science, Environmental Science or related disciplines;
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve campaign objectives with at least 3 years of experience in related fields;
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects and manage project teams to deliver objectives on time and within budget;
  • Good organizational, administrative and budget management skills;
  • Good knowledge of the environmental, socio-political and cultural situations of HK, Southern China & Mainland China in general;
  • Outstanding personal and public communication skills;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese;

This position is for 2-year contract subject to renewal.  Any interested parties, please send your full resume with current and expected salary to Recruit.hk@greenpeace.org
