My Client is a leading global developer of emission reduction and clean energy projects. They have built up a strong track over a number of years and have delivered projects in a number of countries, providing their clients with advice and various services to help reduce and manage their emission and energy needs. They are now growing their South-East Asia operation and are looking to recruit a senior business development manager based in Beijing.
Responsibilities:-
- Develop business and strategic plans for operations in China
- Market research and identification of deal opportunities
- Structuring the commercial details of the deals, and directing deal negotiation activities with stakeholders
- Directing activities to obtain project approvals, licenses, certification and special operation concessions from respective government departments
- Oversee technical and financial feasibility assessments of deals, risk assessment, due diligence, drafting of legal contract, presentation of projects etc
- Provide services to assess project’s potential for carbon emission reduction
- Coordinate stakeholder activities(negotiating emission sales agreement (ERPA) etc)
- Originate new business in the clean technology/ green technology industries
- Identify new projects with carbon credit potential
- Business analysis and project risk management, contract negotiation, internal and external approval process handing
- Lead the team and coordinate activities with HQ in Europe
- Manage the implementation of strategies to achieve the company’s objectives
Requirements:-
- You will have at least 4-7 years experience in the cleantech/greentech/renewables industry,with an excellent track record
- Must have strong educational background (MSC or MBA)
- Experience in leading a team
- Background in the fiancial services sector
- Strong commercial experience in the chinese market in the clean technology/ green technology and/or renewable energy industries
- Must speak fluent English and Mandarin)
- Able to present & discuss complicated investment products to sophisticated internal and external audiences
