Senior Business Controller

The Sr. Business Controller is a team member of the Finance & Operations department that consists of Finance (accounting and controlling), the Project Support Office and ICT. The department provides support services to the international business of Ecofys. The finance team currently consists of 8 people, located in The Netherlands and Germany. The Sr. Business Controller reports directly to the Finance Director.

Due to international growth of the organization the team needs to expand with a Sr. Business Controller. You  are responsible for managing and improving the planning & control cycles, the internal budget cycles, project controlling, annual accounts and reporting guidelines for foreign entities. Furthermore a various number of business control issues like currency management, asset management or risk management are part of the job. In addition, you’re the business partner to advise our consultants on a broad number of finance related issues.

Your profile
If you are enthusiastic about the job described above and you meet the following criteria, then we would be happy to meet you!
• University degree in Economics or Accountancy 
• A minimum of 5 years of working experience, preferably in an international (consultancy) setting;
• Knowledge and expertise in financial reporting and IFRS;
• Knowledge and expertise in risk management and governance issues;
• Experience with internal and external auditors;
• Ability to set up and implement reporting;
• Capable of communicating clearly about complex issues;
• Excellent oral and written command of English.
