Description
The Senior Boreal Campaigner is a full-time position and will be responsible for directing ForestEthics’ Boreal Campaign. This will include overall campaign management and strategy, fundraising, government and media relations and corporate outreach. This person will also be responsible for managing ForestEthics’ Boreal staff and liaising with other campaigns within the organization and allied organizations. The annual salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s abilities and experience.  ForestEthics provides an excellent benefits package including: 3 weeks of paid vacation; health, dental, and a RRSP plan with a partial match. This position will report directly to the Director of Forest Programs, and work closely with communications and corporate relations staff.

The Senior Boreal Campaigner must be an excellent team member, highly solutions oriented and very organized. Campaign opportunities can be last minute, and decisions are made in a team environment, so this position will need to enjoy both the excitement of campaign work and the push and pull of a devoted and energetic team.

SKILLS
•    3- 5 years experience managing campaigns, including budget and staff management
•    Demonstrated ability to track and manage complex projects
•    Proven ability to develop and manage government and/or corporate relations
•    Ability to work with a diverse range of allies and audiences
•    Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
•    Proven track record securing media stories on issues you are working on

ASSETS
•    Good knowledge of forest issues with a strong interest in environmental protection
•    University degree in environmental studies, political science or a related discipline
•    Bilingualism
