Introduction

Our client are a well respected leading service provider in planning and environmental consultancy and advice both in the UK and internationally. Our client are now seeking a Senior Arboriculturalist to join their team based in their Manchester office.

Important

You must have an arboricultural qualification, preferably to degree level.

The Job

The successful applicant will become part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects including international opportunities.

The successful applicants will support a range of projects for clients in major public and private sector organisations, depending upon your level of experience duties will include:

  • Organising and undertaking of a varied arboricultural workload to meet client requirements and deadlines.
  • You will be able to work as part of a team or as an individual and be capable of organising your own time management.

Training and Experience:

Essential:

  • An arboricultural qualification, preferably to degree level, with minimum Arboricultural Association Technicians Certificate or similar.
  • Membership (or evidence of working towards) of the Arboricultural Association or ICF
  • Experience of producing and assessing BS 5837 reports and tree safety risk assessments is essential.
  • Common tree and fungi species identification essential.
  • A full driving licence is essential and the use of a vehicle would be desirable although not essential.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Strong organisational and numerical skills;
  • Strong team working capabilities;
  • Keen to develop customer care and project management skills and to work in a quality assured office within an approved environmental management system
  • Having the highest regard for health and safety.

Desirable:

  • Lantra Professional Tree Inspection qualification desirable
  • Evidence of recent active training/CPD activity within the arboricultural industry.
  • Experience of contractor management is desirable.
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office programmes and experience of or an interest in arboricultural data capture software would be an advantage.
