My client is seeking a highly motivated, professional and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Senior Arboricultural Consultant.

The Job

The successful candidate will join the Arboriculture Team at an exciting time, with plans to expand in the near future. The Senior Arboricultural Consultant will be responsible for providing technical consultancy services and assisting with the development of Arboriculture as part of the multi-disciplinary services offered by the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects, liaising with internal and external teams
• Extensive and professional client liaison
• Manage and assist other Project Managers and provide support junior team members
• Prepare and review technical reports
• Maintain and develop both existing and new client prospects and projects by providing an exemplary service
• Carry out Arboricultural surveys, which may be required outside of core hours

Required skills include:

• A degree or similar qualification in Arboriculture or related discipline is highly desirable, as is LANTRA PTI
• Experience of working in a consultancy capacity is essential, including client liaison, project management, the construction of costings and fee proposals and writing scientific reports
• AA Tech Cert and FDSc Arboriculture are essential, as is experience in TPO and Conservation Area studies
• An in depth knowledge of legislation surrounding arboriculture
• Experience regarding BS5837 Tree Survey, detailed Visual Tree Assessment (VTA), tree species and pest/disease ID, decay strategy and prognosis essential
• Experience in Arboricultural Impact Assessment, Clerk of Works and Management Plans essential
• Membership of a relevant professional body is also highly desirable

Due to the nature of this role, it is essential that applicants hold a full UK driving licence and own or have access to a car insured for business use.
