The JobAs the market for fairtrade and organic cotton has grown rapidly, so hasZameen. We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and skilledindividual to join our team as the Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant's main responsibility will be to work directly with theCEO in managing the company’s current cash position, maintaining internalcontrols and preparing financial reports. Detailed responsibilities will include:· Managing the commodity fund that Zameen controls to pre-finance thepurchases and processing of our farmers’ crops, which includes cash flowoptimization, balance of payments, financial policies, and streamlining theadministrative procedures for purchase and sales.· Creating and maintaining of systems and procedures to ensureProcurement from remote villages is performed in an auditable andtransparent manner.· Directing and coordinating company financial planning and budgetmanagement functions.· Monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results against budget.· Directing and coordinating debt financing and debt service payments withexternal agencies.· Overseeing daily operations of the finance department.· Managing the preparation of the official monthly and annual report ofactual revenues, transfers, and expenses.· Ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.· Serving as primary legislative liaison relative to company financial issues.· Directing financial audits and providing recommendations for proceduralimprovements.· Preparing financial analysis for contract negotiations and productinvestment decisions. The Senior Accountant will be stationed in Hyderabad, supported byaccounting and database management staff as well as a General Managerprocurement & processing. Zameen has partners in the Netherlands and USAto assist in attracting the necessary funding for Zameen’s investment plans.The job will also require domestic and international travel. Who We Are Looking ForAcademic degree in accounting or finance, preferably in the field ofagribusiness, and a young creative entrepreneurial mindset with leadershipattitude. Experience in agri processing sector or manufacturing is a plus.Must be highly proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft excel.Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Hindirequired; Telugu is optional.
