Our Bristol office has an urgent need for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior / Transport Planner to join them on a permanent basis. The role will include working on a wide range of transportation projects with an aspiration to developing their skills and abilities in other areas of land development as part of Bristol Transport and Infrastructure’s multi-disciplinary team.
This role will work directly with Project Manager's and Project Directors on a range of predominantly land development projects, including North Whiteley and South Worcester urban extensions, ROF Bridgewater ‘energy park’ and a range of other land development projects. The role requires a proven track record in the production of high quality Transport Assessment Reports and Travel Plans, together with experience in junction modelling and analysis, concept highway design and access & movement strategies.
This role also requires the proven ability to:
Perform the role of Discipline Lead for BTI projects, with financial control of Transportation briefs, deputising for senior management when need arises.
Responsible for technical output of small transportation project team[s].
Manage and/or carry out technical works in accordance with the Practices QMS, EMS and H&S procedures.
Day-to-day management, supervision and training of junior members in project team[s].
To attend meetings with clients, design teams, local authorities and the general public as required.
Working as part of a strong team, the role requires a positive and enthusiastic team player with proven written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to attend client meetings and advise clients and design teams; as well as the ability to manage your own workload whilst assisting team members on project work.
