Requested profile / Qualification

Qualification and skills

- Education at least Master Degree Academic level in the field of environmental engineering,
environmental pollution and protection, disaster and environmental management, waste
management, or equivalent;
- Excellent reporting and analytical skills;
- Excellent written and spoken English.

General professional experience

- At least 10 years of experience related preparation and/or management of environmental
projects, environmental disaster management projects, waste management   by working on
the government side;
- Knowledge of the rules and procedures of EU external aid programmes, especially Practical
Guide to contract procedures for EU external actions, proved with supporting documents is an
advantage.

Specific professional experience

- proven experience in the evaluation and/or assessment of proposals submitted under EU
external aid programmes in the framework of EU Calls for Expressions of Interest, Calls for
Proposals for grant schemes in environmental management is considered an asset
- Proven work experience with relevant institutions in the geographical area covered by the
Joint Operational Programme Romania-Ukraine-Republic of Moldova and/or involvement in
cross-border matters, is an advantage;

In addition to its assessment tasks, the expert shall be responsible for the smooth communication with the Beneficiary.
