We are currently seeking a Sediment Remediation Engineer to join our Ann Arbor, MI office.

This position will involve engineering analysis and design; construction oversight; planning and overseeing field studies; modeling; engineering analysis; report preparation; construction document preparation and proposal writing.

Additional knowledge and experience with some or several of the following fields is preferred:

  • Contaminated sediments
  • Aquatic restoration
  • Dredging and sediment disposal
  • Port operations and development
  • Aquatic-based regulations and permits
  • Surface water quality evaluations
  • Storm water management
  • Numerical studies of coastal processes
  • Modeling and restoration designs;
  • Design of coastal/river structures;
  • Hydrologic/hydraulic analysis.
Required Skills
  • Motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.  
  • Strong computer skills.
Required Experience
  • The ideal candidate should have 5-10 years of experience
  • B.S. with continued coursework or an M.S. degree in coastal, geotechnical, environmental, civil, hydraulic, or related engineering field. 
  • P.E. certification is preferred.  Preliminary work towards P.E. certification is required.
  • Additional desired experience:
    • Preparation of feasibility studies for large complex remediation projects
    • Experience with contaminated sediments highly desirable
    • Design of soil and groundwater remediation systems
    • Development of engineering estimates, plans and specifications
