South Downs National Park Authority sits in a beautiful part of Southern England. This position will be based at our Midhurst office which is a sustainable conversion of a Grade II building.

The Secrets of the High Woods project is HLF funded to discover (through a lidar survey) the archaeology of the Wooded Downs landscape, to engage communities in discovering this and to interpret the results to the widest audience. The lidar survey is now captured, processed and being used by 140 volunteers for ground-truthing and for a National Mapping Programme study.

The project is innovative and successful so this is an exciting point to join the team to manage the programme and the budget. Key tasks are engaging even more people, delivering the Interpretation Strategy and the ongoing evaluation of the project.
