Description

Reference number: 7470313

Location: Edinburgh

Are you committed to Scotland's marine wildlife? Do you have a strong track record in marine conservation practice, advocacy, campaigning or science? Can you assimilate information from disparate sources, organise it and produce clear outputs to sharp deadlines?

We are looking for a powerful communicator to engage, persuade and inspire diverse audiences on complex and sometimes controversial marine issues. This exciting role will underpin and advance RSPB Scotland's conservation work for seabirds and marine wildlife. It will involve steering and reporting against our marine species and habitat recovery programmes, developing and coordinating specific conservation projects - in particular island restoration - and advocating and lobbying for the establishment of an effective network of marine protected areas in Scottish waters. Excellent communications reflecting and supporting our marine work will be a key theme.
