The Marine Conservation Society (MCS) has been the voice for our seas for over 25 years; championing sustainable fisheries, clean seas and beaches and protection for marine wildlife.

We are launching a new Sea Champions volunteer initiative. Our volunteer Sea Champions will be our local ambassadors in communities across the UK, promoting MCS’ campaigns, conservation work, membership and fundraising initiatives, encouraging active participation in protecting – and enjoying – our seas, shores and wildlife.

We are seeking four self-motivated individuals to recruit and manage a network of volunteer “Sea Champions” within a specific region/country, promoting wider public awareness of MCS and proactively supporting our conservation goals, as well as increasing membership and local fundraising activities. You will have experience of recruiting and working with volunteers, and demonstrate proven ability to work effectively across a large geographical area. You will bring with you strong organisational skills and experience of delivering events and training, with a committed interest in communicating marine conservation to varied audiences. You will need to live within the region/country you work in.
