The latest in a series of in-depth courses covering a variety of mammal species in the Scottish Highlands, this weekend will introduce the biology, ecology and conservation status of otters and water voles with an emphasis on the importance of fieldwork techniques, tracks and signs.

There will be field visits to sites of upland water voles and opportunities to find all the typical signs of otters. Seeing the animals themselves would be a real bonus, but realistically unlikely.
