The Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges is the leading sustainable development organisation for further and higher education in the UK. It is a member led organisation with almost 300 university and college members. Established 14 years ago it is now a charitable company. With sustainability rising up the government, funding council and sector agendas, EAUC members have endorsed an ambitious Strategic Plan which will significantly increase Association products, services and professionalism. The role of the EAUC is to support and meet the needs of our members. We run training events, an annual conference, produce newsletters and manage an active email discussion network. Increasingly we have established externally funded projects with partner agencies and support and work with many partners on their projects. In Scotland we add value to that core activity by working closely with universities, colleges and our strategic partners to ensure a regional focus that is specific to Scotland. We provide a specialist focus on relevant Scottish issues by facilitating the exchange of information and the dissemination of best practice informed by those issues. This new role will be an exciting opportunity for a CUSP graduate to join a small but dynamic team and contribute to delivering the UK and Scottish Strategic Plans.
