Scientific Technical Writer 2

Ocean Associates, Inc. (OAI) is seeking a Scientific Technical Writer 2

to provide support to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s

(NOAA) National Ocean Service (NOS), in Silver Spring, MD. This position

will provide technical support for the preparation of programmatic environmental

planning documents for proposed NOS surveying and mapping activities. The

work will involve conducting correspondences, analyzing data, and drafting

documents to secure NOS’s compliance with federal laws during coastal and

marine data acquisition surveys. It will also assist the Government in developing

and implementing a Public Involvement Plan for inclusion in these documents.

This is an excellent opportunity for a person with strong technical writing

skills to contribute to NOS’s effort to survey and map navigable waters
