Description

The Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) offers a position for a programmer.

The programmer is expected to work on the code management and the computational and numerical improvement of REMIND - a large-scale energy-economy-climate model, and MAgPIE - a land-use allocation model. Both models are optimization models programmed in GAMS. As participant in the RoSE project, the successful applicant will operate the REMIND model within a series of comprehensive multi-run experiments.  Experiences in GAMS programming, optimization and in the application of numerical methods are helpful.

We offer a one-year contract (extension possible).
