BSBI SCIENTIFIC OFFICER
Salary: £25K per annum, full time for 7 months
Location: Flexible, either home- or office-based
BSBI is the leading organisation gathering plant data and informing plant conservation in Britain and Ireland. We require an enthusiastic individual to help produce an England-level IUCN-compliant threat assessment for all vascular plants. This full-time post will be for 7 months (ideally 1 September 2012 to 31 March 2013).
The post-holder will need to have an excellent working knowledge of the English flora and good organisational, communication and IT skills. A strong background in field botany and experience of working in the voluntary sector, specifically with membership organisations, would be advantageous.
