Natural Resources Defense Council Job Announcement Internship Position San Francisco Office The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is a non-profit global environmental organization with more than 1.3 million members and online activists. We have offices in New York, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Montana, and Beijing, China. Our staff of over 400 includes lawyers, scientists, economists, policy analysts and environmental experts work to protect the environment and public health through advocacy and education. Position Summary: NRDC is seeking a Science Intern to work in its San Francisco office. The Science Intern will work with the Director of the Science Center. The Science Center provides support, research and scientific review resources for NRDC’s diverse programs and staff scientists. This is a part-time (2-3 days/week), four month paid internship. The pay rate is $15.00/hour. Learning Objective: This position will offer the intern the opportunity to explore a broad range of scientific and environmental issues and gain experience with literature review and research, preliminary data compilation and analysis, and science communication.
