This is an excellent and unusual opportunity to have a direct impact on reducing carbon emissions in a beautiful part of the country.
You will be responsible for developing a schools energy efficiency programme as a key part of our carbon management programme. By building effective relationships with a small group of schools, you willhelp them significantly reduce their carbon emissions and use this experience to develop a scheme across all the Council's schools.
You will carry out energy audits and assist in the delivery of a full range of energy conservation projects in order to realise the energy reduction opportunities identified from the audits.
You will also work closely with a Children's Services officer to support schools in becoming more sustainable by following the Eco-schools programme.
