SCADA Technician, Vestas Northern Europe, Videbæk
Vestas Northern Europe is the Sales Business Unit for Scandinavia, UK, Ireland, Poland and the Baltics. We are responsible for Sales, Project & Execution and Service of wind farms. Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors.
The SCADA Engineering department is part of the Technology department and supports the organisation in selling, installing and servicing a large number of SCADA systems controlling medium and large sized wind power plants. A modern SCADA system controls a wind power plant as it was a normal medium size power station. This implies strict demands to the complexity and reliability of the system solutions implemented.
Responsibilities:
The SCADA Technician will be responsible for:
  • Configuring and programming the SCADA system
  • Installation and commissioning of the SCADA system on site
  • Conduct the project Site Acceptance Test and Grid Code Test
  • Retaining a high level of SCADA knowledge and providing specialist advice as required
  • High level of cooperation with colleagues from different departments, customers and subcontractors from all parts of Northern Europe
Qualifications:
 
We expect that you have a relevant technical education as Electrical Engineer or the like. It would also be an advantage if you have a proven track record working with installation and commissioning of SCADA systems.
On a professional level you have/are:
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft servers (from 2003)
  • Experienced in configuring and programming SCADA systems
  • Experienced in configuring and programming PLC system
  • Strong English skills, both in writing and in speech
On a personal level you have/are:
  • Organised and have a methodical approach to work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Personal drive and engagement
  • Flexible, easy-going and reliable
  • Result-oriented

Additional information:
This position will be based in Videbæk but will involve a significant amount of travel throughout Northern Europe. You should expect 120 traveling days per year.
