SunRun is looking for a talented and motivated individual who absolutely loves data to join our rapidly-growing sales team as a Sales Operations Analyst. 

This is a highly visible and critical role as the candidate will be required to support and work with senior members of the company to make the sales organization more effective and scalable. The successful candidate will possess the right balance of strategic thinking and analytical abilities and be able to enthusiastically apply these traits to increasing the productivity and performance of SunRun’s sales organization and channel partners. The position is full-time and based in our main office in downtown San Francisco.

What you will do 

  • Own the channel sales incentive program including recommending appropriate compensation structures by channel, calculating and reporting SPIFF and commission/bonus payments, managing sales contests, and assisting the executive team with strategic issues around incentivizing sales performance.
  • Develop a forecasting methodology to accurately predict future sales and communicate expectations to SunRun’s sales, finance, and operations teams. Generate weekly forecast and metric reports & provide analysis for Sales Management
  • Manage the sales tracking and reporting process and regularly present to the team
  • Become a passionate user, proponent, and administrator of Salesforce.com with the goal of increasing the value of this tool to the team by creating and managing dashboards, reports, workflows, and educating the team on best practices.
  • Support documentation of existing sales process and best-practices and re-engineering those processes for improved efficiency and scalability
  • Perform general residential solar market analyses and track and present competitive data.
  • Proactively diagnose the analytics requirements of the sales organizations; design and deliver reporting to meet their requirements
  • Setup, maintain, and modify sales territories and provide comprehensive analysis of territory alignment decisions
  • Assist in all facets of sales planning, inclusive of regular updates to quotas, headcount and sales plan

Qualifications

  • A passionate belief that well-understood data is key to making sound business decisions
  • BS in science, engineering, business, economics or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of work experience in a role that required both quantitative abilities and strategic thinking (previous energy experience not required).
  • Detail-oriented and a believer in the value of process
  • Experience in performing data analysis in MS Excel, uncovering trends in data, and clearly articulating ideas through MS PowerPoint presentations.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com is preferred, ability and desire to quickly adopt tool and become a highly-proficient and passionate user is a must
  • Ability to successfully communicate with all levels in the organization
