Description |
Position based in either Delhi or Mumbai, India. Travel up to 75%, including periodic trips to the US and Europe.
• Work from home office or leased office. • Frequent Travel required. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Identify, recruit and sign new customers by identifying new strategic solar Developers and EPCs with which Nanosolar can develop long-term, successful/profitable relationships • Create sales proposals as needed to win key new customer relationships, and negotiate and close sales purchase orders and/or supply agreements with favorable supply terms and conditions to Nanosolar. • Identify and sign-up 3rd Party Sales Partners or Agents whom can identify opportunities and develop significant sales pipelines for Nanosolar Panels • Develop relationships with strategic banks and regional financiers to enable Nanosolar developer customers to finance power plant projects with Nanosolar panels • Lead the hiring or partnering with 3rd party Indian engineering agencies to monitor the field performance of Nanosolar test arrays and to facilitate panel bank-ability • Provide Competitive Market Analysis, for example: • Provide competitive and market assessment and benchmarking to Product Management • Provide input to Nanosolar HQ into Indian market pricing and price lists • Elicit and maintain customer, market and competitive feedback provide towards the product release process • Support the marketing communications group with key messages needed to develop sales collateral and product documentation • Work closely with Nanosolar Logistics, Customer Service and Quality to ensure timely delivery of Nanosolar panels to customers’ project sites and to monitor product quality, repairs and returns • If successful, this position will be responsible for building a regional sales team, including: • Identify, recruit and hire field sales and systems engineering professionals over time as Nanosolar panel shipments grow • Determine location and/or need for central sales office location vs. home offices Job Requirements • Extensive supply agreement and contract negotiations with current and future customers • Track record of building excellent sales relationships • Experience building and managing sales teams • Experience with accurate sales forecasting and use of CRM tools • Experience working effectively/successfully with U.S. HQ companies • Ability to articulate key decision factors and lead a group to common, data driven decisions • Strong oral and written presentation skills - ability to present to persuasive, data-driven arguments to groups within and outside Nanosolar through strong presentation skills, and ability to quickly develop professional sales proposals with careful attention to detail • Strong analytical skills – ability to develop sophisticated financial and business models in MS excel • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to work effectively with disparate groups throughout the company through influence and teamwork Minimum Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: • Significant customer development and sales experience in a mature technical company with significant revenues • Solar, wind, or electricity/energy industry experience preferred • MBA and/or engineering degree preferred • English language required; Indian language and relevant dialects required |
