My client is one of the major players in the Wind market internationally with a strong focus and market presence in the wind industry. They have made a large impact in the onshore wind turbine industry and are currently looking to expand their sales teams in both the on and the offshore wind market. They are a internationally respected company and have large growth plans across the South American Wind industry.

Core Criteria:
My client is looking to recruit a sales manager to oversee their interest in the Brazil and expand the utilisation of the companies wind turbines in the South American market. You will be involved in developing the initial relationship and maintaining this relationship with the customer throughout the entire wind project development.

Responsibilities:-

  • ·         Direct project sales operation  in the Brazil and work closely with the international team to best expand to company growth
  • ·         You will utilise your technical knowledge of the wind industry to explain the technical elements of the wind turbine
  • ·         Negotiate terms and conditions with developers and utilities while working with the sales team in South America
  • ·         Proactively source opportunities for new projects in the Brazilian wind industry and encourage growth patterns in the South American region
  • ·         Explaining and selling the benefits of the product and the USPs (unique selling points) of the wind manufacturing company
  • ·         Will be expected to proactively source new clientele and generate new revenue streams in the Brazilian wind industry
  • ·         Develop and set up local strategic partnerships with utilities, project developers, IPPs
  • ·         Negotiating terms and closing deals with wind farm devleopers and utilities in the on and offshore wind market
  • ·         Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations for the renewable energy company
  • ·         Coordinate the sales team and manage the entire project operation from the initial contact with the customer through to overseeing the construction process with project managers and engineers
  • ·         Develop and manage a pipeline that supports the company’s growth strategy in commercial scale project development
  • Open up new markets and sign major contracts with developers and utilities in the on and offshore wind market
  • Identify market potential; initiate sales process; close sales; expand sales in new and existing accounts; contribute information to market strategy and recommend new products and services

Education:-

Must have strong engineering background and knowledge of the wind energy market

Core Requirements:-

  • You will have 4-6 years sales experience, with a proven track record in the wind industry
  • You will have at least 1-3 years technical experience in the wind industry with an excellent understanding of the engineering side of wind farm developments
  • ·         Good understanding of regulatory requirements in the wind industry
  • ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
  • ·         Proven track record in wind business development and growth
  • ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects
  • ·         A background in the technical element of wind development is a bonus

General Requirements:-

  • Ability to travel frequently to client sites
  • ·         Proficient with making impactful presentations
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

Key Skills:-

Wind Industry, negotiations experience, business development and sales of wind turbines or wind developments in South America is a bonus and team leadership.
