One of the leading module manufacturers globally is currently looking for a director of sales on the East Coast. You will be required to have an existing network of contacts within the market as my client is looking for someone who can hit the ground running, your experience will extend to development of distribution and sales channels and to the management of a successful sales team.

Position Overview:
This is an exceptional opportunity for a strong sales candidate to join a very successful multinational organisation in which they would be able to develop their careers and build an extensive network of contacts in the market. You would be planning and coordinating project efforts and negotiating and closing deals with key clients in the utilities market.

Responsibilities:
• Formulate, execute and maintain sales strategies
• Develop key contacts
• Negotiating terms and closing deals
• Generating leads and arrange client visits with a view to pitching solar projects and generating new business
• Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations
• Develop and manage a pipeline that supports the company’s growth strategy in module sales across the Eastern seaboard
• Manage projects by setting priorities and expectations, problem solving, communicating ongoing status updates
• Develop and manage all key accounts

Education:
• Must have strong educational background in Engineering, Business or related fields (MBA would be desirable)

Requirements:
• You will have at least 3-5 years of sales experience in the utiltiy sector of the solar industry
• Ability to travel frequently to client sites
• Prior management experience
• Must have an extenisive network with distributors, EPCs etc
• Must have experience in proposal writing and execution of sale to contract award
• Proficient with making impactful presentations
• Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
• Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
• Proven track record in sales and growth

General Requirements:
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements in the solar industry
• Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies
