My client is a internationally recognised wind company that specialises in the procurement, development and servicing in the wind industry. They are European leaders in the operations and maintenance of wind farms and are looking to expand their team internationally. My client as a leader in its field is aiming to take advantage of the rapidly expanding wind industry across Europe and require senior level managers to ensure they maintain their market share.

Position Overview:
My client is looking to recruit a sales director to manage the service sales team in across Europe and expand the utilisation of the companies services in the European wind industry. This role will report directly to the Head of Operations and will involve working on an international level.

Responsibilities:-

  • ·         You will be the key contact of the company in order to develop strong relationships with new and existing contacts in the wind market. Ensuring that my client is in the bid process of all servicing contracts in Europe.
  • ·         You will work closly with the international team developing processes that will encourage growth on a company wide level
  • ·         Manage performance of sales team and management in individual countries
  • ·         You will lead a sales team working on a variety of negotiations across the Europe in order to expand the service utilization of the company
  • ·         You will lead the negotiation teams in sales of blade services to wind farm operators in Europe and work closely with the international team to best expand the company growth
  • ·         You will work on expanding the companies use on PSL’s with wind farm operators and other clients
  • ·         Negotiate terms and conditions with wind farm operators, with a full knowledge of the legal requirements within the wind market.
  • ·         Consulting with clients on cost Vs benefit ratios
  • ·         Will be expected to proactively source new clientele and generate new revenue streams
  • ·         Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations for the renewable energy company
  • ·         You will travel extensively across Europe developing and maintaining key relationships
  • ·         Demonstrate ability to lead negotiations team towards results
  • ·         Negotiate terms and conditions with wind farm operators, with a full knowledge of the legal requirements within the wind market
  • Open up new markets and sign major contracts
  • Identify market potential; initiate sales process; close sales; expand sales in new and existing accounts; contribute information to market strategy and recommend new products and services

Education:-

Must have strong engineering degree or equivalent

Core Requirements:-

  • You will have 5-8 years sales or negotiations experience, with a proven track record in B2B negotaiations
  • You will have at least 4-6 years expereince in the wind industry
  • ·         Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements in the wind industry
  • ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
  • ·         Proven track record in wind business development and growth
  • ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects
  • ·         A background in the technical elements of wind development is a bonus
  • ·         Excellent report writing ability

General Requirements:-

  • Ability to travel frequently to client sites across internationally
  • ·         Proficient with making impactful presentations
  • ·         Excellent English language skills with other language skills a bonus
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

Key Skills:-

Wind Industry, negotiations experience, business development, wind service sales, an excellent understanding of the technical elements of wind turbines and blades.
