Description
Is it you to be part of a department responsible for corporate-level demand and supply balancing in one of Denmark’s largest international companies? Do you have a holistic understanding of the supply chain and the financial impact a change will have, and at the same time a detailed eye securing quality throughout the process? We are looking for an experienced corporate S&OP Director who must be well-organized, goal-oriented, and an excellent networker.
Sales & Operations Planning
Group Forecasting & Planning (GFP) is headquartered in Randers, Denmark, with offices in Ringkøbing (Denmark), Beijing (China) and Portland (US) and is presently 40 employees. GFP works directly with Vestas’ Sales Business Units (SBU) for planning the demand and with the Production Business Units (PBU) for planning the supply.
Sales & Operations Planning within GFP is responsible for balancing the demand and supply across the company based on financial analysis of sales expectations and production capacities, strategic input and scenario evaluations.
Responsibilities and tasks

Your responsibility as the head of the Sales & Operations Planning Department:
  • Leader of a department with 2-3 dedicated employees
  • Ensure the monthly S&OP process is launched and implemented across the business
  • Drive the S&OP process and facilitate decision meetings
  • Advocate process awareness and compliance measurements for all stakeholders within the processes of S&OP
  • Close cooperation with owners of the input and out processes to drive CI-initiatives
  • Ad hoc tasks


Qualifications and work experience

  • Preferably a relevant bachelor/master/technical education
  • > 5 years leader ship experience
  • Experience within relevant area from an international production company
  • Working experience from different cultures is an advantage
  • Mature leadership skills and good communication skills
  • High ability to navigate in a large organization with many interested parties
  • Experience with change management and business processes
  • Able to take initiative and drive continuously improving of all administrative tools and work methods
  • Ensuring fast and efficient implementation of task/projects
  • Solid knowledge of the MS Office package, and MS Excel super user
  • Solid knowledge about SAP (Project Builder and BI) is absolutely preferable
  • Fluent in English is a must
