The Position – RMT is seeking students to work for the 2011 Summer/Fall co-op period. These students will support the Renewable Energy engineering group with project work. The position would provide general engineering support on project work and standards development, and may involve assistance with renewable energy development work, wind farm design support, quantity take-offs and estimating, field construction support, specification writing, providing wind farm quality assurance, and report writing.
 
Requirements - Candidates should be at least junior standing and pursuing an electrical or civil engineering degree with interests in the renewable energy market. Civil Engineering students should have significant graduate level course work in power systems engineering. 
 
Other requirements: 
 
- Proficiency with computer software programs (i.e., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet and project management).
 
-Team player, creative thinker with initiative and strong written and verbal communication skills.
 
- Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse screen, motor vehicle record check and sign an RMT Confidentiality Agreement.
 
Compensation - Competitive hourly compensation based on knowledge level.
