Position Title: Review and Impact Analysis Officer INBAR Unit: INBAR Regional Office in Ethiopia Reports to: Dr Fu Jinhe – Project Manager Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Terms of Employment: 6 months consultancy contract, starting no later than May 2013 The project ‘Bamboo for sustainable biomass energy’ works in Ghana and Ethiopia and aims to increase the use of bamboo as a source of energy for the poor of Ethiopia and Ghana thereby providing a more sustainable, environmentally friendly, and economical option to firewood and wood charcoal (http://bioenergy.inbar.int/wiki/index.php/Main_Page). The project is financially supported by the European Union and the Common Fund for Commodities. As a member of the project team ‘Bamboo for sustainable biomass energy’, the Review and Impact Analysis Officer will play a key role in the internal evaluation of the project, by collecting quantitative and qualitative data on the final project results and analyzing the impact of the project that started in 2009 and will end in October 2013. The Officer will be part of a team of regional and HQ INBAR staff, and work from INBAR’s regional office for East Africa in Addis Ababa.
