Description

We seek a Restoration and Water Resources Program Coordinator to coordinate the efforts of NWF's national restoration campaigns and coasts & floodplains campaigns. The Restoration and Water Resources Program Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the policy work of the Coastal Louisiana Campaign, the Great waters Campaign and the Clean Water Restoration campaign. This will include developing educational and advocacy materials for activists, agency & congressional staff. The Restoration and Water Resources Program Coordinator will also be held accountable for managing the listserv, researching policy and ecological topics related to large scale aquatic restoration, outreaching to the broader restoration community, fact sheet and report preparation, organizing workshops, and lobby days, conferences etc. The Program Coordinator will gain a broad background in all aspects of administrative and legislative policy advocacy and some exposure to environmental litigation, including attending hearings and meetings with administration officials, congressional staff and other conservation groups and coalitions. He or she will also help mentor and monitor the activities of the water intern to ensure they have clear responsibilities and are not pulled in too many directions.
