My client is one of the leading solar PV integrators in the USA and has demonstrated themselves as a market leader in the New Jersey area. They have very strong growth forecasts for the future and want to ensure that they opportunity to capitalise on these forecasts. My client is involved in mainly the commercial side of the solar PV market but is also looking to expand their residential market.

Position Overview:

My client is looking for a proven sales manager to expand the growth of the company in the New York/ New Jersey area. You will work on ensuring that the growth of the company in maintained and that targets are achieved within a given time frame. This requires an experienced solar sales manager who as a track record in achieving and exceeding targets.

Responsibilities

  • ·         You will report directly to the Vice President of Sales with the US in order to achieve targets and set goals within the region
  • ·         Establish both market and target customer strategies for the market.
  • ·         Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the regional sales department while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals
  • ·         You will be in charge of monitor actual sales results versus budgetary forecasts monthly.
  • ·         Define price strategy for current and new products and help meet the corporate target gross margins
  • ·         You will use your strong sales skills and technical training to explain the key components of the product
  • ·         You will be required to developed relationships with new clients, negotiate and carry through the business process with key clients
  • ·         You will be in charge of recruiting and training your team to encourage the growth of the company
  • ·         Handle complaints from customers or others stemming from actions in the Sales & Marketing Department

Education

A relevant degree in engineering or management with an MBA as a bonus

Core Requirements

  • ·         At least 4-8 years of sales experience
  • ·         At least 2-3 years in Solar PV sales
  • ·         Be knowledgeable of the solar market and industry trends, competitors and the competitive landscape, and leading customer acquisition strategies
  • ·         Have experience in developing and executing tactical sales plans

General requirements

  • ·         Be highly organized and have very effective time management skills
  • ·         Be a demonstrated leader among employees
  • ·         Be highly computer literate and use sales database tracking programs
  • ·         Strong negotiating skills and capacity
  • ·         Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ·         Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team

Key Skills:-

Solar PV sales experience, team leading, training and strong negotiation skills required
