Description

We are looking for an experienced candidate to work with the Cambridgeshire Reserves team and key volunteers to assist in delivering practical reserve management primarily on 22 sites covering wetlands, woodlands & grassland nature reserves of local and national importance (11 SSSI).  There will also be a need at times to work on some of our other 26 Cambridgeshire reserves and Great Fen project.

The Reserves Officer will assist the day-to-day running of nature reserves in North & West Cambridgeshire, through practical work, volunteer tasks, management planning and monitoring. The role also involves liaising with visitors and the local community and contributing to a range of on-site and outreach community engagement activities. The post holder will work with the Reserves team and other staff to deliver agreed management plan objectives in combination with secured funding grants. Public engagement on sites, contractor management and liaison with graziers is also required.

Type of Contract: Permanent

Hours:  37.5 per week.  Full Time
