The Institute operates from facilities in Townsville, Queensland; Darwin, Northern Territory; and Perth, Western Australia.

 

About this Opportunity

An opportunity has been created within our Darwin-based team for a Research Scientist who will contribute to the development of ecotoxicological test methods for tropical marine species and applying these tests to contaminants of environmental concern in tropical waters. 

This is an excellent opportunity to join a world-leading organisation with attractive working conditions, including a 9-day fortnight, generous leave entitlements, relocation assistance and a salary range of $97,656 – $107,057. This appointment will be for an intital term of 3 years.  

 

About You

You will have significant experience in the development and conduct of a wide range of ecotoxicological procedures, preferably using tropical marine species and be able to demonstrate:

  • A PhD in a relevant discipline;
  • A capacity to undertake field work in remote locations;
  • Strong collaboration skills and willingness to work with industry partners; and
  • Demonstrated competence in the management, analysis and interpretation of complex data sets.
