We are seeking a Technical Officer with experience in researching soil-borne plant pathogenic fungi and their microbial antagonists. The person will contribute to projects investigating the functional ecology of cereal root pathogens and rhizosphere inoculants in southern Australian cropping systems and the mechanisms underpinning microbial suppression of root diseases. We are part of a multidivisional group of microbiologists, plant pathologists, soil scientists and farming system specialists located at CSIRO labs in Adelaide. The successful applicant will possess a B.Sc. with demonstrated research experience in applying molecular microbiological techniques to investigate microbial ecology and plant pathology of grain cropping systems.
