Research Officer, Politics of Climate Change LSE Global Governance Reference: RES/09/22 Salary from £31,870 - £33,801 per annum inclusive, Pro Rata to a minimum of 17.5 hours a week. Application Deadline: 5.30pm on 20 July 2010 The project is funded for 12 months, the successful candidate my work full or part time to a minimum of 17.5 hours per week, the exact hours per week are negotiable. Based at LSE Global Governance this post draws on a collaboration with Policy Network to undertake new research on climate change and energy security by examining the implications for business and society-at-large. Working directly with Anthony Giddens and Roger Liddle, you will seek to understand the likely affects of climate change, with the research feeding into public policy developments that will be required to manifest a positive response to these issues. The candidate must have a PhD or be close to completion, proven research expertise in the social sciences, an excellent understanding of the issues surrounding 'climate change' and the ability and enthusiasm to undertake independent research for peer review and policy development |
