Description

We are seeking a Research Officer to join our small but highly regarded think tank and charity.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Research: liaising with the Director and Associates to carry out research on specific projects and Sustainability First initiatives
  • Project delivery: Assisting with or leading on the delivery of specific projects with key partners and stakeholders, including public engagement and public participation events
  • Communicating Sustainability First’s Messages: designing and taking part in workshops, conferences etc., and presenting Sustainability First’s key messages to a wide range of audiences
  • Keeping up to date with developments in the field of sustainability: attending events, reading materials and proactively sharing information with the wider Sustainability First team

To be successful, you will have proven research experience including desk research, use of surveys and interviewing people as well as experience and understanding of the fields of sustainability or public utilities.

You will have excellent analytical skills and be a reliable, professional person who forms good working relationships with a wide range of people. Additionally, you will be qualified to degree standard, speak and write in fluent English and have demonstrable skills and experience in using Word, Power Point and Excel.
