Description

This internship will focus firstly on supporting our sustainable shipping work - investigating trends, technologies, industry stuctures and legislation, to help build a compelling case for a sustainble shipping industry and help to proioritise action, and secondly support summarising a variety of recent public sector projects in case study format and exploring the learning from each to inform future projects.

Research tasks are likely to include:

  • Examining sustainability issues around the global shipping industry
  • Researching, writing and organising case studies of recent public sector and health sustainability projects, and drawing out key learning points

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in support of team activities, as and when needed
  • Other activities as may be reasonably required

  • An understanding of sustainable development is desirable

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well organised, able to prioritise work and meet deadlines

  • Good ICT skills, with a confident approach

Lunch expenses up to the value of £5 and travel expenses from within London will be covered.

This internship is for a period of four months (the length of the shipping project) full or part-time.  Working hours can be negotiated.
