This Australian Research Council funded Linkage project seeks to determine the mechanisms of synergistic feedbacks between climate change and non-climatic factors on species extinction risk, by integrating ecological, demographic, geospatial, and climatic using Bayesian statistical analyses and population-habitat-climate models. The aim is to deliver the computational tools required to anticipate biological reactions to climate change in the context of other human-driven threatening processes, and so guide proactive management responses. This project involves extensive statistical analysis of large databases, development of novel computational tools, and a considerable amount of scenario development and sensitivity analysis. We are seeking a Research Fellow to lead the implementation of the over-arching model architecture and parameterisation, analysing model outputs, and writing reports for professional publication.
