Cheetah Conservation Botswana is a long term conservation project, incorporating scientific research, community outreach and education.
We are inviting applications from individuals passionate about wildlife conservation, to apply for the position of Research Coordinator.
Requirements: Motivated, hard working, good ability to multi-task. PhD in wildlife conservation or ecology. Ideal for postdoctoral position. 3 yrs+ experience of working in wildlife research / conservation / community work. Full clean driving license holders only. Experience of GIS mapping and statistical analysis desirable. Income is negotiable but unlikely to be as high as international standards.
Duties: Include coordinating and developing the CCB research program. Designing, implementing, conducting and analysing studies on cheetah ecology and human-predator conflict. Production of peer reviewed articles. Maintaining data archive. Overseeing of international volunteer program, MSc and PhD students and research staff. Capture, care and translocation of problem or orphaned cheetah. Promotion of predator friendly farming to the community. Assisting with overall CCB activities when required. Basic accommodation is provided. Income is negotiable but unlikely to be as high as international standards.
