To support our growth we seek a Research Assistant (RA) to work in our Climate Change and Sustainability Division. The RA will contribute to the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high quality products and services. Research Assistants at ICF International have the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge, gain exposure to major projects, and interact with experts and clients in the field, while building content knowledge and consulting skills. This position will be located full-time at a federal client site in Indianapolis, IN.
Qualifications
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with utility data review and analysis. Summarize and share utility data.
  • Organize and maintain large databases in Microsoft Excel and proprietary software.
  • Solve quantitative and qualitative problems.
  • Interact with federal and commercial clients
  • Coordinate with utility providers and other stakeholders
  • Keep informed of government agency regulations and requirements
  • Activities will include close coordination with ICF staff in Washington, DC
Basic Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree (minimum GPA of 3.0) in Accounting, Economics, Natural Sciences, Environmental Studies, Building or Energy Engineering, or related subjects
  • Proficiency in 2003/2007 MS Office Applications (Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
  • Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a low level security clearance.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Interest in energy management, energy efficiency, and renewable energy
  • Experience in accounting, energy, environmental science, or related field
  • Experience working with SAP or other accounting systems
  • Experience working with large databases
  • Knowledge of building systems, energy management, utilities and utility bill-pay systems
