Description

We are seeking a full time Research and Projects Coordinator to support the Science Programme with Luc Hoffmann projects until the 30th June 2020. The successful candidate will be an employee of WCMC and will be based at the David Attenborough Building in Cambridge.

The Research and Projects Coordinator will support the research, implementation and monitoring of the Luc Hoffmann Institute Programme. A major task for this position will be the synthesis and analysis of emerging research areas and targeted topics. The post holder will provide relevant, well-researched briefs and notes supporting the Institute’s overall Programme and projects, and contribute to the Institute’s overall knowledge and understanding of research and policy areas relevant for its work.

This position will provide coordination support to ensure consistency in key areas of project management, monitoring, evaluation and learning. The post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues, especially the Head of Programme and Senior Programme Manager, and directly with project focal points and managers where relevant, and report to the Senior Programme Manager. Additionally, external engagement and development of relationships with individuals and institutions, organisations, NGOs, private sector firms, think tanks and research centres will be required.

We will provide you with the challenge of working on high profile conservation projects, where your work really makes a difference to the field of conservation in an area aligned to our strategic aims and broader global initiatives. In addition to training and development opportunities, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including generous pension contributions.
